AI calorie counter

Photograph your plate. Skip the search box.

Kalixo reads the photo and estimates calories, protein, carbs and fat for what is actually on the plate. No barcode hunting, no scrolling through nine versions of the same chicken breast.

Three seconds, not three minutes

Logging a meal fails when it takes longer than eating one.

One photo, whole plate

The app identifies each item and sizes the portion from the picture. Mixed plates, homemade food and restaurant meals included.

A food quality score

Every item also gets a Nutri-Score, the European A to E rating for nutritional quality. Calories tell you how much. This tells you how good.

Ask about the meal

A coach that already knows what you ate today. Ask what to have for dinner and you get an answer that fits the day, not a generic tip.

No red numbers

Going over your target does not turn the screen into a warning light. One heavy meal is a Tuesday, not a failure.

Why we show a range, not a number

Any app that reads a photo and returns exactly 412 calories is rounding a guess and hiding it from you.

Photos hide things

Oil in the pan, sugar in the sauce, the thickness of a slice you cannot see from above. A good estimate owns that uncertainty instead of dressing it up.

A range is still useful

Knowing a plate is 600 to 750 calories changes what you eat next. Believing it is exactly 683 changes nothing, except your trust when the scale disagrees.
